In Yogyakarta, many interesting things are rarely found in other cities. One of the interesting things is Museum of Batik Yogyakarta. The museum was founded on 1977. The reason is, a great attention of international tourists to batik. This museum try collect as much and complete batik today.

Inside this museum, the collection of batik is very, very complete. At this museum, you can see all batik from various regions in Indonesia. The collection is a long cloth, sarong, decoration and many others. Not only batik collection of course, here you can also see some traditional batik equipment.

Interestingly, in this museum there is a batik that made from 1700s, the oldest batik that stored and well maintained to date. The museum is open at Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sundays. On Monday to Saturday, the museum is open from 9 am to 3 pm. Therefore, don’t get the wrong day when you visit this museum. The ticket price for Museum of Batik Yogyakarta around $1.6 for each person.
